 Advantage of new Championship format:

  1. Allows the addition of the new distances races with-out cutting back on the "normal" state meet time standards.
  2. Prelim/ Finals for the top level swimmers in the state.
  3. Combined prelim swims allow the "best swimmers to compete, no matter what age. (proposed)
  4. Two weeks between State and SPEEDO Championship meets, for senior level swimmers.
  5. Allows for the 60% of the state that does not have the new standards to still have the same 12-Under championship meet as in the past.
